Have you ever sat back, watched a show and just marvelled at all the pretty clothes.
For me one of those is Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. It is an Australian show based on the books by Kerry Greenwood. The show was aired on ABC in Australia and is available to buy and Netflix.
This weekend I was able to go visit the Costume exhibition for season three at Old Government House, Parramatta. It features the costumes as designed by award-winning designer Marion Boyce.
The outfits are all simply stunning. I have always loved the design of 1920's era clothes.
It simply just don't work for my shape but I ardently admire.. ohhh the wants.
The stunning designs worn by the whole cast and most off all the fabulous Essie Davis who plays the title character are amazing. They were all breathtaking, amazingly well made.
I think there is no better way to share the exhibition than through pictures..
So enjoy..
The pictures do not do them justice, each item was just beautiful.. the fabrics and detail.
There was a dress up room, in which we tried on some coats and decided we looked less glamours 1920's starlets and more like Yeti's....
I might of treated myself to a completely stunning Brooch from the Marion Boyce Collection, that I have been lusting after online..
Afterwards we had High Tea at the Gatehouse Tea room. I was so happy they had a gluten free high tea..
YUM
All in all it was a wonderful day with some of the best ladies..
The exhibition runs until June 19, 2016. If you love things all 1920's fashion do go have a look..
I may even have to go back again myself..
Have you seen Miss Fisher??
Do yourself a favour and go have a look, what could be any better than a smart, sassy and fearless lady detective..
